Advanced Electrolysis

Fibrous Papules

These harmless dome shaped, skin coloured, white or reddish, smooth and firm bumps on the skin, usually the face, nose, neck and scalp, are easily removed using Advanced Electrolysis.

Fibrous Papule

A tiny probe and a short wave diathermy current gently coagulates the lump, dehydrating and shrinking the papule while cutting of its blood supply.

The skin lump will blanch (whiten) at the time of treatment and dry out. Then a scab will form and the skin bump will gradually drop off in 7 – 10 days.

During a full consultation prior to treatment we will discuss the suitability of this treatment and assess your skin tags to ensure they are safe to remove and decide a treatment plan. A full medical questionnaire will ensure there are no reasons why the treatment cannot go ahead. Your safety comes first.

You will be given full and thorough aftercare advice to allow full skin healing prior to your treatment and at the time or treatment.

Immediately after treatment the area of removal will be red and irritated and maybe slightly sensitive, scabs maybe present. The area will be fully healed within 14 days.

This treatment is suitable for all genders. It is suitable for people of all ages and skin types.

At  a.h.advanced skin specialist we use Apilus electrolysis machines. We use this brand due to their unparrelleled and advanced computer technology ensuring treatment is fast and comfortable.
